General Information

Climate

Rome’s weather varies from very hot in the summer to distinctly cold in the winter, and rather damp in the autumn. However, the weather is rarely severe or disruptive.

May is when the summer season really kicks off in Rome, with much warmer temperatures and less rain; it is the perfect time to see what Rome has to offer.
The average daily temperature usually rise to 23°C (73°F), and only dips as low as 11°C (52°F). Evenings are likely to be much cooler.

Cancellation policy

  •  Cancellation received by delegates up to 31 days prior the date of arrival will be free of charge.
  • Cancellation received by delegates between 30 and 15 days prior to the date of arrival, will incur an indemnity equal to 1 night accommodation.  
  • Cancellation received by delegates between 14 and 7 days prior to the date of arrival, will incur an indemnity equal to 2 nights accommodation.  
  • Cancellation received by delegates between 6 days prior to arrival day will incur cancellation charges equal to the entire stay (as well as no-shows or early departure).

Please note that the official language for the conference will be English. All presentations and documents must be in English.

Advice to the authors

  • The main purpose of the abstract is to give the Program Committee information to assist them in selecting the papers to be presented at the conference.
  • The selected papers will be presented in a 15 minute speech at the conference (+ 5 mins for Q&A).
  • An abstract will be selected based on the importance and originality of the subject addressed, on its relevance to the conference theme, on the clarity of its expression.
  • The abstract should be a “stand alone” summary that can be used in the compilation of abstracts.
  • The abstract should be in English and no longer than 400 words.
  • The abstract should summarize the main objectives of the paper to be presented and outline its conclusions.
  • Work that has been presented elsewhere, and not updated, will be considered inappropriate.
  • All abstracts should be submitted on Space Propulsion Website before the 20th September 2015.

Notification of Acceptance/Refusal

The Programme Committee will notify all authors of its decision in November 2015. This notification will be accompanied by detailed instructions allowing authors to prepare and send their paper to the AAAF Secretary by 10th April 2016.  Please note that failure to comply with the deadline will entail not having the manuscript included in the conference proceedings.
